Why I do this work

I became a nurse practitioner because I believe healthcare at its best is deeply personal. It is not just about treating conditions, it is about understanding the person who has them.

Caring for older adults has always felt like a calling to me. This chapter of life comes with real complexity: multiple conditions, multiple medications, and questions that deserve more than a hurried answer. I chose to specialize here because I believe every person deserves a provider who takes the time to truly understand them, not just their chart, but their daily life, their values, and what matters most to them.

At Community Physicians Rockford, I have the privilege of practicing the way I believe care should always be done: unhurried, thorough, and built around you. From your first visit, I want you to leave feeling heard, informed, and confident about your health.

That is the standard I hold myself to for every patient I see.

"Healthcare at its best is deeply personal, it is about understanding the person, not just their conditions."

The foundation behind your care

My training as a Nurse Practitioner gave me a comprehensive foundation in advanced clinical practice, evidence-based medicine, and patient-centered care. NP preparation combines rigorous academic training with a strong focus on real-world patient outcomes.

I have dedicated my career to primary care for older adults, developing deep expertise in managing the complex, overlapping health needs that come with aging. From chronic disease management to preventive care and medication reviews, I approach each patient with the thoroughness and attention their health deserves.

I stay current through ongoing continuing medical education, because the best care is grounded in the latest evidence, and I translate that knowledge into clear, practical guidance for every patient I see.

What I believe about your care

Every provider has a philosophy, whether they say it out loud or not. Here is mine: the principles that shape every visit, every decision, and every conversation we will have together.

What a visit with me is really like

If it has been a while since you felt truly cared for at a doctor's office, here is what you can expect when you become my patient.

You will be heard

I begin every visit by listening, really listening, with no timer running and no hand on the door. Tell me everything that is on your mind.

We will review everything

I go through your full health history, all your current medications, and any concerns or changes since your last visit.

You will leave with a clear plan

Before you walk out, you will understand exactly what we discussed, what comes next, and how to reach us with any questions.

Who I care for

My practice is built around the realities of life after 65. I provide comprehensive primary care with particular expertise in:

Cardiovascular Disease
Diabetes Management
Hypertension
Polypharmacy Review
Cognitive Screening & Dementia
Osteoporosis & Fall Prevention
COPD & Pulmonary Care
Preventive Wellness Care

I would be honored to be your provider

Choosing a healthcare provider is one of the most personal decisions you will make, especially at this stage of life. If you are looking for someone who will take the time, who will listen, and who will treat you and your family with the respect you deserve, I would be honored to be that person.

Reach out whenever you are ready. A real member of our team will answer, help with your insurance, and find a time that works for you, often within the same week.
